Start with one

One clear donation link gets more use than five. Pick one now and add others only when donors ask for them.

The two good options in Canada

PayPal.me (recommended) gives you a short link like paypal.me/yourname. Most people already have PayPal or can pay with a card, and money moves to a Canadian bank.

Ko-fi gives you a small page like ko-fi.com/yourname with a donate button. It pays out through Stripe or PayPal, so it works if you would rather not open a PayPal account.

Options to skip for now

Venmo works only in the US. Patreon suits monthly memberships rather than one-off donations. Crypto addresses work, but few donors use them and the value moves around.

Fees

Every provider takes a processing fee, and some add a platform fee. Fees change, so check each provider's current fee page before you choose.
