Privacy
You fall under Canada's privacy law, PIPEDA. Customer data needs care, so:
- Collect only what you need.
- Never share it with advertising networks.
- Say clearly in your policy what you keep and for how long.
Marketing email
Canada's anti-spam law, CASL, requires clear consent and an unsubscribe link in every marketing email.
Consumer rules
Prince Edward Island's Consumer Protection Act deals mainly with credit sales, and we found no rules in it written for online sales. Check the current requirements with the PEI government or a lawyer before you publish your terms of sale.
