Privacy
You fall under Canada's privacy law, PIPEDA. Customer data needs care, so:
- Collect only what you need.
- Never share it with advertising networks.
- Say clearly in your policy what you keep and for how long.
Marketing email
Canada's anti-spam law, CASL, requires clear consent and an unsubscribe link in every marketing email.
Consumer rules
Nova Scotia's Consumer Protection Act and its Internet Sales Contract Regulations set out what you must tell customers before they buy online, and require you to send a copy of the contract within 15 days. Check the current requirements with Service Nova Scotia or a lawyer before you publish your terms of sale.
